I was invited to contribute a song to the Broadway’s Future concert series for emerging musical theatre writers at the NYPL back in 2011. It was the height of many panic cycles about correct holiday greetings and Santa Claus’s true racial identity. What could I do but enlist the brilliant John-Andrew Morrison to set the record straight? Not your average heartwarming holiday classic, but it is now an annual tradition. This is transposed down a whole step from the original F minor to Eb minor for the lower-voiced Santas among us.
