STEVE Lives (Again) Again…and a Peek into Process

As if Fort Worth Opera producing the world premiere of Companionship wasn’t enough, the company will also feature a performance of my short opera Steve at its gala on May 4th! Tenor Daniel Montenegro and soprano Maren Weinberger (starring as Leslie Sinclair in Companionship) will play Steve and Ann, respectively. The gala will be a star-studded night to remember, and this is the cherry on top of what I’m sure will be a wonderful time in Fort Worth. If you are in the area, don your fancy duds and join us. All proceeds go toward FWO’s children’s opera outreach initiative.

As they say, come for the crab bisque, stay for the opera about the dead dog.

UPDATE: But wait, there’s more! On May 5th at 1:00, I’ll be leading a workshop in libretto writing. It’s free to attend. Whether you’re a seasoned librettist or you’re just curious about the process, stop by.

Further details for all of the above are in my events calendar.
